Have you ever received an E-mail that asked you to forward it? Can we really contribute money by doing it??

Recently, I received more and more e-mail(s) that asked me to forward it. The content is usually about helping a poor child by forwarding the e-mail; for each e-mail forwarded, we will contribute a certain amount of money to help the poor one. I google this topic to check the truth, that's when I came across this site

The article below is from the site mentioned above. Read and stay informed!

Sometimes you get some email forward contains:

1) Please forward this mail to your friends. 4.5 Month old child needs help. Don’t spend money - just forward this email to all your contacts - you will help her by contributing 10 cents for each email you send.

2) Do you want to know your girl friend’s name? Just forward this mail and press Shift + Ctrl + P (or some key combinations). Your girlfriend’s name will appear on screen.

3) Forward this mail to at least 10 people and you will hear good news you were waiting for with in a week!!

email fraud

4) Mail from Yahoo (or MSN etc): your account will be removed if you don’t forward this message to everyone.

5) Forward this email to maximum people. When it reaches 1000 , everybody will get 100$ each.

These all are email frauds. Never respond or forward such emails. Either delete to or mark it as Spam. Or at least do nothing !!!

This process is otherwise called Mail Chaining or Chain Letter.
Aim of the Sender(The one who started this mail thread first) will be one of below :

1) Advertisement: When you close watch each email (The Chain Letter), you can see some links, either it is ads or some fraud sites links. While forwarding among 100 people, at least 25 people will click on that link and visit their site.

email fraud

2) Email Spamming: Some mails contain some reply email address by mentioning it as “reply to this email if you want to know more”. Just look on your FORWARD, you can see more than 500 email addresses of knowns and unknowns.

What will happen if you reply the mail, all this mail address are simply forwarded to the email creator. Who will use these email collections for further spamming !!! TRAPPED right ?

email fraud

3) Signatures: Not only their email addresses, if you reply to the sender with this Forwarded Mail he can collect a lots of Email Signatures, which is created by each forward. Then not just your email even your personal info also gets back to the creator. TRAPPED Again ???

email fraud

4) Money Making : The mail such as forward 1000 people and get 100$ each is another mode of fraud. If you enquire or ask for money to the initial sender, he will say - “Okay, you will get money send us your credit card details etc.”
Or they will say, “for transacting this money, you have to give as $2 for transaction charges, so that we can transfer 1000$ to you”. You can only dream your 1000$, and it never will get. TRAPPED AT LAST ?

So Discard these fraud email forwards. Remember one thing, “There is no Free Lunch”.

Comment on quote, anyone?

Have you ever heard about this quote: "Man is born free, and everywhere he is in chains" (J.J. Rousseau) ?
I'll try to make a rough picture about the meaning behind this quote.

Everyone is born into this world with freedom, we are. At the same time, we are also limited by invisible chains around us. These chains will bind us until our death, no matter how hard we struggle. The chains are not necessarily bad; it depends on how we react to them. The chains may force us to think harder in order to resolve a problem or stall us far away from improvement. In addition, these chains know no limit. Thus, place and time cannot erase their existence. These chains take the form of society, environment, religion, and rules, to name a few. All of these aspects are intertwined and together they limit our freedom
In society, we are given a certain role we must play. We play our roles every day without being aware of them. We develop ourselves and play a greater role that has more influence on others. In the end, we are stuck in this cycle. This is how society takes our freedom away; we are forced to do the same thing everyday such as studying, working, and so on. The advantage of this is it can stimulate us to do things better and more effectively. But, once people start to compete with each other and try to be the best, a conflict may occur. That would be disadvantageous.
As for environment, it’s not that much different from society. In nature, certain laws apply to all forms of life. We must abide by the law and try to cope with it. The good thing about this is it will maintain the balance of our environment steadily. The bad news is we are not exempted, so if we can not cope with it we will not be able to survive. We are locked up in the law.
Both religions and rules restrict our behaviors. This is nice because it encourages mankind to do good things and help each other. Religions and rules may be almost the same in term of their positive contributions. However, rules were made by humans; so are religions. Therefore, there is a chance that they can be misguided and corrupted. So, there they are, trapped by rules which are disadvantageous to them.
In conclusion, we do not need to fret about the “chains” at all. This is how things in our world work. We only need to work together and try our best to reach our dreams. We must not let the chains discourage us. We should be able to move freely in the chains. At least, we can choose our own paths freely and do things in our way to a certain extent.

That is my opinion about what the quote means. Any other ideas? :D

Hmm...

1 week ago, I went across a site called ezinearticles.com. I found that it was a good place to submit any of your article(s). So, I decided to submit my essay. Here's the copy of it.

Have you ever experienced love? Love is one of the best things in our lives. Love is abstract; we can’t really see or touch it. The only way to experience it is by using our mind. “Real” love is not that “lovey-dovey” stuff, which is quite common among youth these days, but a universal expression of joy.
In this world, we need to socialize with others. As we interact with other people, there is a good chance that we will feel love for a particular person, such as our mother, father, a friend, etc. Ironically, many times we do not realize that we are feeling “love”. For example, I only realized how much I loved my family when I parted from them. Prior to that, I didn’t really think or feel much about them. I just put them in the same category with other people – maybe a little higher. However, once I left them, something didn’t feel right. That’s when I finally understood that this was love. Maybe I did not have enough time to think about my feelings before that. I feel extremely happy knowing that I love my family from the bottom of my heart.
Perhaps it’s quite hard for us to love someone – or to acknowledge that we love someone. Sadly, too often we only realize how much we love someone once we have lost them. We may be selfish by saying that we only love ourselves, but this is not unequivocally true. We love a certain person as much as we love ourselves. Remember that we are not the only one giving love; we are also getting it. Thus, we should fill our hearts with love. Love can make us to be more mature, stronger, and better.
The power of love is immeasureable. For instance, love can end a conflict at its critical stage. Love can prevent war. Basically, war happens because evil resides in our hearts. We can avoid war and other bad things if our love is strong enough. We must not let evil take control of our hearts.
Everybody has the ability to love. It can bring happiness and joy to all people. We can easily get through hard times with it. To put it simply, we can experience a better life with love in our hearts.

Well, that was it. From now on, maybe I will write more articles / essay. Wish me luck. :D

Weekend~~~

This week has not been pretty hectic after all. Maybe it's because it's just the 1st week when many people come and go. Got first test from Calculus; the lecturer will give back the paper on Monday. Dunno why, I have this premonition that ..... I hope I am wrong.
While I am doing this, I have my essay fixed. It's nothing much, I just feel like to write.
Guess I should be back to the desk doing my homework. Ciao!

1st Day of CIMP Has Started

Today i went to the college to attend my first day of 2nd sem in CIMP. Met many new lecturers today (that's obvious).
For ComTech, my lecturer is Mr. Patrick. My first impression about him : serious guy.
For Calculus, my lecturer is Ms. Woi. First impression: a student (???).
For MDM, my lecturer is Ms. Chia. First impression: kind-hearted woman.
Well, I wouldn't know for sure about their characters until I have attended their classes for several times.

Heck, I already got assignments for all of these subjects. To add my pain, this afternoon at 4:30 PM I just realized that I haven't paid my hostel fee!! If I were to pay tomorrow, it would cost me extra RM60.00!! The deadline was 5:00 PM; therefore, I ran with my friends to the college , in such a hurry, to pay the fee. Another mischief occurred; I and my roommate left the bloody room key inside our room - locked - while hurrying to get to the college. I only thought about paying the fees. More obstacles occur.......it was raining.. ~_~ However, we managed to pay the fees. Back to the condo, I had to borrow the key from the management office. Good thing, the office was still open. Had to sign a form about key loan..sigh

Guess that's all for today. Got lots of work to do..

First Post!

Well, i guess this is my first time into blogging (New Year, new things to try :p).
A little introduction for the first post is fine (i think..) because i don't really know how i should introduce myself.
You can just call me by my ID name. I am taking CIMP at Sunway for now, currently 2nd-sem student. I am gonna take Calculus, ComTech, and MDM for this time. Hope i can do these things well. Speaking of hobby, i like anime, manga, and ... mathematics (the latter is the one i like the most :D).

Anyway, i think this is enough for introduction (it's not abundant, right?). I hope i can meet more people here. See ya in other posts!
